Another very successful food show was held by PERFORMANCE Foodservice- Somerset on Thursday, September 9 at the Center for Rural Development in Somerset. Many customers attended the event and learned about and sampled many of the products being presented at over 90 vendor booths.
The show featured electronic ordering on touch screen terminals at each booth and proved to be a real time-saver for the customers, who also did not have to carry around the traditional thick food show ordering books. There was more time for the vendors to communicate new and featured item information and to offer new ideas.
Many customers and vendors enjoyed the reception on Wednesday evening which featured a catered gourmet buffet with six serving stations. Entertainment was provided by the oldies/top 40 band, Faded Blue, and by national touring comedian Mike Armstrong.
