8 slices rye bread
2 duck breasts (cooked and sliced)
2 tbl sugar
1 tsp thyme (minced)
2 tbl unsalted butter
1 sm apple (peeled, cored and sliced)
¼ tsp red chili flakes
3 endive leaves (chopped)
1/8 tsp kosher salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
In a skillet add butter and sugar and cook until sugar is melted into butter now add apples, endive, chili flakes, salt, pepper and thyme and cook until apples are soft then reserve. Toast bread and top one slice with duck breast then top with spiced apples and top with last slice of bread and serve.
