The Power of Paper

Upon meeting with Keith, the owner of Jane’s Steakhouse in Morgan City, LA, I was able to learn about some of his key business concerns. Keith showed me the on site meat fabrication room at his restaurant facility. Keith has been a loyal customer of Performance Foodservice – Caro for some time, purchases our Braveheart steaks, and feels the brand is a real difference maker in the success of his steak sales.

 

However, the passion and pride he displayed to me about cutting and hand selecting each of his customer’s steaks and patties was not known by his customers. He explained that he has tried again and again to train wait staff to inform the customers about all of the hard work he puts in to making sure they are getting the best, but ultimately this was still not being conveyed to the patron. So, I asked him to provide the top three or four key points he wished his customers knew about his operation. 

 

Next, with the help of Stacie, our Marketing Manager, we developed a table tent with his logo, our Braveheart logo, and  incorporated the key takeaways Keith gave us so the customers would understand his passion for steak.

Several weeks later, I returned to see how the table tents had been doing. Keith immediately asked me to go with him to his office. He then pulled up the sales tracking on his computer and showed me that his steak sales had increased by almost 25% in a month.  He could not thank me enough for the help.

 

What a powerful tool paper and a creative idea can be!
