A San Diego native, Amanda went to culinary school in New York City then cut her teeth as a line cook at Michelin-starred Gramercy Tavern, one of Manhattan's oldest and most prestigious farm-to-table restaurants. Missing Southern California, she moved to Los Angeles and has spent the last decade working in high-end catering and later digital food media: recipe writing, food styling, and producing content for Condé Nast, First We Feast, Buzzfeed Tasty, and Gordon Ramsay. She is currently a food writer and culinary producer, but spends her free time reading, going out to eat and drink, and researching her upcoming travels. Amanda loves nothing more than recommending bars and restaurants around the world to friends and strangers alike.
