French Onion Soup


  1. In a large sauce pot cook onions, covered, in butter about 20 minutes or until tender.
  2. Add condensed beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and a dash of pepper; bring to boiling.
  3. Place slice of cheese on toasted bread; place under broiler until cheese is lightly browned.
  4. Ladle soup into bowls and float bread atop. (Or, place a bread slice on soup in each broiler-proof soup bowl; cover with cheese. Broil until cheese is lightly browned.)


  • 10 1/ oz. beef broth, condensed
  • 6 slices bread, French, toasted
  • 1/4 cup Nature's Best Dairy® Butter, salted
  • 1 1/2 lbs. Peak Fresh Produce® Onion(s), Yellow, thinly sliced
  • dash Roma® Black Pepper, Ground
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 6 slices West Creek® Cheese Slice(s), Swiss
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
