Caramelized Onion Dip with Bacon and Gruyere

Directions

  1. Heat a large sauté pan over medium-low heat and melt the butter. Add the sliced onions, salt, sugar, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook uncovered for 45-60 minutes, stirring often, until the onions are well caramelized and browned.
  2. In a large baking dish, combine the caramelized onions, Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise, sour cream, Gruyère cheese, crumbled bacon, and minced parsley.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  4. While the dip is baking, toast the baguette slices and serve on the side for dipping.

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cheese, Gruyère , grated
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled (about 6 slices)
  • 1/4 cup parsley, fresh, minced
  • 1 French baguette, sliced
