Low Country Hot Brown
Low Country Hot Brown
Directions
- To prepare sandwich, spread softened butter on each side of bread. On preheated flat-top grill or griddle, toast bread until light golden-brown on both sides, approximately 1-2 minutes. Place bread on oven-proof sizzle platter.
- While bread is toasting, and on same flat-top grill or griddle, warm pork slices until internal temperature of 150°F is reached, approximately 1-2 minutes.
- Top toasted bread with two slices of tomato, then shingle slices of pork on top. Top with 1 cup prepared Chow-Chow Gravy and Swiss cheese. Place under broiler/salamander or into a hot oven for 1-3 minutes or until cheese is golden-brown and crispy.
