Breakfast Fried Rice

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the sesame oil until simmering. Add 2 of the sliced green onions, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, toasted sesame seeds, crushed red peppers, and Italian Sausage. Stir to coat the sausage in sauce until sausage is heated through. Then add cooked rice, breaking up any large clumps. Stir to fully incorporate the ingredients and cook for 5-8 minutes, or until all is incorporated and warm.
  3. In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add butter. Once the butter has melted, crack the eggs into the skillet and immediately cover the pan with a lid. Cook until the egg white is cooked through and the egg yolk is barely set, approximately 5 minutes.
  4. Place a fried egg on top of each bowl of breakfast fried rice and garnish with the remaining sliced green onion.
  5. Sever immediately, being sure to break the yolk over the rice so it can act like a sauce. Serve with sriracha.

  • 3 cups rice, white, day-old, cooked, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup Asian Pride® Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Asian Pride® Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper, flakes, crushed
  • 1 tbsp Nature's Best Dairy® Butter, Unsalted
  • 2 Nature's Best Dairy® Egg(s)
  • Sriracha, optional, for serving
