Buttermilk Plum Cobbler

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Butter a deep 9" x 7" ovenproof dish.
  2. Wash, pit, and cut each plum into 8 pieces. Toss plums with brown sugar and spread in pan.
  3. Dot with butter. Sprinkle with lemon juice.
  4. Bake, uncovered, 25 minutes.  
  5. Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Stir in buttermilk. Drop by large spoonfuls over the hot plums.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes, until puffed and lightly browned.

  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup flour, all-purpose
  • 7 Tbsp. Nature's Best Dairy® Butter, unsalted
  • 3/4 cup Nature's Best Dairy® Buttermilk
  • 12 plum(s), large ripe
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup West Creek® Lemon Juice
  • 3/4 cup West Creek® Sugar, Brown
