Chorizo & Cilantro Cornbread Waffles

Directions

  1.  In large bowl, stir cornmeal, buttermilk, butter, cilantro, sugar, chiles, and Chorizo Topping together.
  2. Heat waffle iron. Spray with oil and then spoon cornmeal mixture, about ½ cup, into waffle iron and cook about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Serve topped with salsa, sour cream, and jalapeño

  • 2 cups cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 cups Buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, fresh, chopped
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup chile(s), chopped green canned
  • 8 oz Burke® Chorizo Pork Topping
  • salsa
  • sour cream
  • 1 jalapeño(s), sliced
