Classic Tomato Bisque
Directions
- In an 8 qt. sauce pot, melt margarine or butter. Blend in flour. Cook 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add water, Chicken Base, tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar and salt. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and gently boil 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add cream, mixing well. Heat to a gentle boil, stirring frequently.

- 3/4 cup butter, or margarine
- 1 1/3 cup flour, all-purpose
- 3 1/2 qt. water, hot
- 3 oz. Minor's Chicken Base Low Sodium
- 14 1/2 oz. tomato(es), canned , with juice, small dice
- 1 1/3 cup tomato, paste
- 5 tbsp sugar, granulated
- 2 tsp salt
- 8 1/2 oz. cream, heavy, whipping
