Sweet Honey BBQ Maple Meatballs

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the maple syrup, honey BBQ sauce, soy sauce, ground mustard, and dried chives (if using fresh chives, reserve for garnish). Place over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring until smooth.
  2. Add the meatballs and stir to coat evenly with the sauce. Return to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook until meatballs are heated through, stirring occasionally.
  3. Verify an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. Remove from heat. If desired, stir in fresh chives before serving.
  5. Serve hot as an appetizer with toothpicks.
