Waffle Burger Sliders
Directions
- In large bowl, mix breakfast sausage with egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Form mixture into small, mini-sized patties.
- Heat flat top or skillet over medium heat. Sear patties until thoroughly cooked (3-4 minutes per side, depending on thickness).
- In separate pan, sauté onions and peppers until soft and caramelized.
- Toast or warm mini waffles, if desired.
- Assemble the sliders: Place patty on mini waffle, top with sautéed onions and peppers, and add cheese, if desired. Finish with second waffle as top bun and serve.
