Waffle Burger Sliders

Directions

  1. In large bowl, mix breakfast sausage with egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper until just combined. Do not overmix.
  2. Form mixture into small, mini-sized patties.
  3. Heat flat top or skillet over medium heat. Sear patties until thoroughly cooked (3-4 minutes per side, depending on thickness).
  4. In separate pan, sauté onions and peppers until soft and caramelized.
  5. Toast or warm mini waffles, if desired.
  6. Assemble the sliders: Place patty on mini waffle, top with sautéed onions and peppers, and add cheese, if desired. Finish with second waffle as top bun and serve.
