Basic Vanilla Souffle


  1. Mix the flour and butter until it turns into a paste.
  2. In a pot, bring the cream and water to a boil and stir into the flour mixture. Cook this mix in a pot for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Remove the mix from the heat and stir in one egg yolk at a time until mixed in. This is the base and can be set aside or refrigerated until needed.
  4. Whip the egg whites, sugar, salt and vanilla together into a soft peak and fold the two mixtures together.
  5. Butter a soufflé cup and sprinkle with sugar then fill the mix to the top.
  6. Bake in a water bath for 15-20 minutes at 400 F.


  • 1 1/2 oz flour, all-purpose
  • 1 1/2 oz Nature's Best Dairy® Butter
  • 3 oz Nature's Best Dairy® Cream, Heavy
  • 3 egg yolks Nature's Best Dairy® Egg(s)
  • 3 egg whites Nature's Best Dairy® Egg(s)
  • - salt, to taste
  • 3 oz sugar
  • - vanilla extract, pure, to taste
  • 1 oz water
