Pecan Crusted Mahi Mahi


  1. Season flour with salt and pepper. Reserve 1/2 cup of seasoned flour and place the rest in pan.
  2. Mix eggs with water in second pan.
  3. Place reserved flour in third pan and mix with pecans.
  4. Prepare to bread fish by arranging pan with flour mixture first, second pan is egg wash, and third pan with pecan flour mixture. Take each mahi mahi steak and dredge in first pan of all purpose flour, then egg wash and then pecan & flour mixture. 
  5. Heat oil in saute pan over medium heat and place fish filets in pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.  Transfer fish to 400 degree oven and continue to cook for 6-7 mintues or until fish is done.


  • 1 Tbsp. black pepper, ground
  • 1 1/2 Cup(s) flour, all-purpose
  • 8 oz. mahi mahi, steak(s), (4)
  • 1/4 Cup(s) oil
  • 1/2 Cup(s) pecan pieces, (chopped)
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
