Ridgecrest® Bacon Dog


  1. Soak the toothpicks in water for 30 minutes to one hour. This will stop them from catching on fire on the grill.
  2. Par cook the bacon about fifty percent of the way. Wrap the hot dog with the bacon and secure each end with toothpicks.
  3. Cook the bacon wrapped hot dog on the grill for 4-5 minutes until bacon is crispy.
  4. Whisk together chipotle peppers, mayonnaise, and lime juice then reserve.
  5. Place bacon dog on bun drizzle with chipotle sauce then top with sliced jalapenos. Take a fire bite.


  • 1 ea. Heritage Ovens® hot dog bun, steamed
  • 1 ea. Ridgecrest® hot dog
  • 1 ea. Ridgecrest® Bacon, strip
  • 2 ea. toothpick(s)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 ea. Peak Fresh Produce® Pepper(s), Jalapeño, sliced
  • 1/4 cup West Creek Mayo
  • 1 tbsp Contigo® chipotle peppers, pureed
  • 1/2 tsp Ascend® Premium Lemon or Lime Juice
