Sesame Wasabi Fried Shrimp


  1. Prepare pancake batter according to package directions.
  2. Whisk in wasabi sauce, sesame oil, and sesame seeds.
  3. Let batter rest for 15 minutes.
  4. Peel and devein shrimp, leaving end of tail on for presentation.
  5. Dredge shrimp in flour and then dip in batter, up to the tails. Drain off excess batter.
  6. Deep fry at 365˚F for 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Serve with an Asian dipping sauce.


  • 2 cups West Creek® Flour
  • 1 bag Heritage Ovens® Buttermilk Pancake Mix
  • 5 tbsp oil, sesame
  • 2/3 cup sesame seeds
  • 5 lb Bay Winds® Shrimp
  • 5 tbsp wasabi sauce
