Buffalo Onion Straws with BBQ Shrimp and Bacon


  1. Prepare West Creek Onion Straws according to package directions.
  2. Place Straws in a bowl and toss with Frank's Hot Sauce.  
  3. Season shrimp with BBQ spice and grill to desired doneness.
  4. Place shrimp in a medium bowl, toss with BBQ sauce and keep warm.
  5. Prepare a serving basket by lining it with paper, then add the kale and top with red onion slice.
  6. Transfer the Straws to the basket, top with shrimp. Garnish with green onions and bacon pieces and serve.


  • 2 tsp BBQ spice rub
  • 5 pieces Empire's Treasure® Shrimp, Large , (16/20 peeld and deveined)
  • 2 oz Frank's RedHot® Original Hot Sauce, (red)
  • 2 leaves kale, leaves
  • 1 tbl Peak Fresh Produce® Onion(s), Green, (sliced)
  • 1 slice Peak Fresh Produce® Onion(s), Red
  • 2 tbl West Creek® Bacon, (cooked, chopped)
  • 2 tbl West Creek® BBQ Sauce, Original
