Nashville Hot Mozz

Directions

  1. Heat oil to 350°F.
  2. Create an egg wash by beating the eggs and milk together. Put the flour, Panko and egg wash into separate bowls. Dip each mozzarella stick in the flour, then the egg wash, then the Panko. Repeat dipping each into the egg wash and back into the Panko for a double coat to hold the cheese together in the shell.
  3. Mix seasoning ingredients in a bowl and add around 1 cup hot oil from the fryer. Stir well.
  4. Fry cheese sticks for around 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Coat each piece with seasoned oil and serve with pickles and ranch dressing.

  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup Real California® Whole Milk
  • 3 egg(s)
  • 1 lb. Real California® Mozzarella cheese, cut into sticks
  • 2 tbsp. sugar, brown
  • 1 tbsp. paprika, smoked
  • 1 tbsp. ancho chile powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic, powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • oil, vegetable, for frying
  • ranch dressing, for service
  • pickles dill, chips, for service
