Tri-Color Strip Burger with Queso Blanco

Directions

  1. To make the sauce, blend the cheese, cream, cornstarch, and seasonings together in a food processor.
  2. Sauté the jalapeno pepper in a sauté pan with the oil over medium heat for a few minutes until soft. Stir in the cheese mixture. Whisk until it comes to a boil then remove from the fire and set to the side.
  3. To make the burger patties, mix together ground beef, salt, pepper, and thyme, and then form 2 patties. Grill to your desired temperature in a grill pan on the stove or on a grill.
  4. Grill the buns.
  5. Place the patties on grilled buns.
  6. Top the patties with the cheese sauce followed by the Contigo® Tortilla Strips, Tri-Color, and the slices of jalapeno. Serve hot.

  • 2 tsp. oil
  • 1/2 jalapeño(s), finely minced (reserve the other half for a few slices for garnish)
  • 3/4 cup queso blanco, crumbled (can sub feta cheese)
  • 1 cup cream, heavy
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. garlic, powder
  • 1 tsp. Aleppo pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp. cilantro, fresh, chopped
  • 8 oz. beef, ground
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. Aleppo pepper
  • 1 tsp. thyme, fresh, ground
  • cheese sauce, prepared, as desired
  • Contigo® Tortilla Strips, Tri-Color, as desired
  • 2 brioche buns
