Shallot and Basil Compound Butter


  1. In a chilled stainless-steel bowl gently fold together the above ingredients.
  2. Scrape the mixture onto a piece of parchment paper and roll into a cylinder.
  3. Wrap this in plastic wrap and chill for 2-3 hours until service.
  4. Cut into disks for service.


  • 1 lb Nature's Best Dairy® Butter, Unsalted, room temperature, cubed
  • 3 tbsp Peak Fresh Produce® Basil, minced
  • 1/2 cup Peak Fresh Produce® Shallot(s), caramelized, small dice
  • 1/2 tsp Magellan® sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp Roma® Black Pepper, Ground
