Surety® Bourbon Short Ribs


  1. Whisk together brown sugar and beef rub. Rub ribs with wing sauce. Coat ribs with rub then wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  2. Whisk bourbon and BBQ sauce in a sauté pan over medium heat and simmer for 5-6 minutes. Remove from pan and reserve.
  3. Remove ribs from refrigerator and unwrap.
  4. Set smoker to 225°. Place ribs meat side down on racks. Cook for 6-7 hours to an internal temperature of 200°. Allow to rest for 10-15 minutes brush with BBQ sauce, then serve.


  • 6 lbs Surety Beef® short ribs, bone in
  • 1/2 cup West Creek® Sugar, Brown
  • 2 cups Magellan® beef rub
  • 1/2 cup West Creek® Wing Sauce
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1 cup West Creek® BBQ Sauce, Original
