Braveheart Sloppy Joes


  1. Add butter to a large skillet medium high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until brown.
  3. Drain the fat and discard. Add onions, green pepper, and garlic.
  4. Cook for a few minutes, or until vegetables begin to get soft.
  5. Add ketchup, brown sugar, chili pepper, salad mustard, and water.
  6. Stir to combine and simmer for 15 minutes, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add tomato paste and stir in to thicken sauce. Add Worcestershire sauce if desired.
  8. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  9. Butter the Brioche buns and toast, spoon sloppy joe mix on the rolls and serve.

  • to taste salt
  • 2 Tbsp(s). sugar, brown
  • 1 Cup(s) water
  • to ta Worcestershire sauce
