Beef Khachapuri


  1. Preheat oven to 350 F, prepare 2 14" x 4" unsliced loaves by cutting a wedge into the tops and scoop out the bread to create a hollow center. Place the bread shells on a parchment lined baking sheet tray.
  2. In a 10" skillet on medium heat, retherm the Mexican-Style Beef Crumbles and chopped bell pepper in the olive oil. Once the peppers are tender deposit the sliced green onions stirring until all are tender.
  3. In a large non-reactive bowl deposit the eggs, half ‘n half, basil and salt. Stir together to blend and then add in the sausage mixture along with 6 oz. of the mozzarella. Pour mixture into the bread shells that are on the sheet tray. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and bake for 35-40 minutes or until eggs are set. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
  4. If desired garnish with additional basil.
