Spicy Apple Cheddar Bis-Scones

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450ºF (convection 400ºF).
  2. Place milk in a large mixing bowl. Add biscuit mix and mix with paddle on low speed until liquid is completely absorbed. Add flour and mix again until flour is incorporated into the dough. Increase speed to medium and mix for 1 minute (will be a fairly stiff dough).
  3. Place apples, cheese, and jalapeños in a large bowl. Turn out dough onto fruit/cheese mixture. With floured hands, work dough to incorporate the fruit/cheese mixture, adding more flour if necessary.
  4. Turn out onto a well floured surface. Roll to ½ inch thickness. Cut with pizza cutter into desired shapes and sizes.
  5. Bake for 9 to 12 minutes, or until pieces are cooked through. Brush with melted butter upon removal from oven.
