Shrimp and Tasso Pasta
Directions
- Cook the pasta according to the directions on the package.
- Heat a sauce pan to medium-high and then add half of the oil. Sauté onions, garlic and half of the tasso for about 2-3 minutes. Add the heavy cream and shrimp base and allow to simmer for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once cream mixture is reduced, in a separate sauté pan add remaining oil, shrimp and tasso, season with salt and pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes or until shrimp are done.
- Pour cream sauce over pasta and portion out shrimp and tasso.

- 2-3 Tbsp. base, shrimp
- 1-1/2 Tbsp. black pepper
- 3 lb(s). Empire's Treasure® Shrimp, Large , peeled
- 1 qt. Nature's Best Dairy® Cream, Heavy
- 1/4 Cup(s) oil
- 2 Cup(s) onion(s), diced
- 1 Tsp. salt
- 1 lb(s). tasso, pureed
